Senior Kindergarten (SK)

 

After successful completion of this grade students are expected to gain the following Arabic language skills:

 

Listening..

 

• Listen to recognize the letters of alphabet in the words.

• recognize some vocabulary from the surrounding environment. 

 

 

Speaking..

 

• Learn to pronounce the letters of the alphabet and short vowels.

• Correct pronunciation of all alphabet with emphasis on similar sounds.

•  

  Identify the short sounds.

   

 

 

Reading..

 

• Visually identify all alphabet.

• Visually identify short vowels: Fatha, Dammah, Kasrah.

 

 

Writing..

 

• Write the individual letters of the alphabet.

• Write right-to-left in straight horizontal lines.

• Write alphabet in as placed in the beginning of words.

• Write right-to-left in straight horizontal lines.

• Space words appropriately.
