After successful completion of this grade students are expected to gain the following Arabic language skills:

 

Listening..

 

• Become familiar with listening to and comprehending proper Arabic phrases.

• Understand questions and follow instructions.

• Comprehend text passages and stories.

• Understand simple ethical messages of stories.

 

 

Speaking..

 

• Communicate ideas to others in a clear and well-connected manner.

• Narrate own experiences and stories in a well-connected manner.

• Apply basic rules of conversation, such as listening when others speak.

• Use appropriate voice: indoor or outdoor.

• Become familiar with speaking and expressing own thoughts in proper Arabic phrases.

• Comprehend simple words in relation to a specific subject.

 

 

Reading..

 

• Identify Word, Sentence, Paragraph, & Text.

• Read logically linked paragraphs, texts, and short stories.

• Read and comprehend paragraphs with five sentences.

   

 

 

Writing..

 

• Start to build & write sentences.

• Write clearly in straight horizontal lines leaving proper space between lines.

• Leave one blank line between paragraphs.
